Len McCluskey, General Secretary of Unite the Union is coming to East Leeds to deliver the inaugural memorial lecture in commemoration of Leeds socialist, trade unionist organiser and poet Tom Maguire.
This memorial lecture marks the anniversary of his death at the age of just 29, and will pay tribute to Maguire’s remarkable contribution to the labour movement, both in West Yorkshire and nationally.
Len’s lecture will be a significant contribution covering Tom Maguire, his legacy, and the modern trade union movement.
Refreshments will be available after the lecture.
