Course details

Local musician Chris Sharkey will lead a creative music recording session where we will use our voices, instruments and ideas to make our own original beats, soundscapes and music.

Come and learn about cutting-edge music production software such as Ableton Live and Logic Pro and, over the course of the afternoon, explore improvisation, writing, recording, performance, sampling, synthesis and other modern production to create music that is 100% ours!

This workshop is open to everyone regardless of experience or ability – PLEASE come along and help us to make something amazing!

The workshop will run from 1pm to 4:30pm with a break in the middle.
Light refreshments will be available on a Pay What You Can basis.

The workshop is FREE, however donations towards Chapel FM Arts Centre are always very welcome.

    Friday 19 April at 7:30pm

    Chris Sharkey has been creating music in residence at Chapel FM over the last couple of years (see pic above) and we are very pleased he is back for a week in April working with an amazing band. The culmination of the week will be this Friday night performance, premiering a new project for Chris called Scales and Modes.The music was written during the residency last year and Chris plans to record and film it during the week. He explains: “It’s very composed music as opposed to the more improvised stuff I do.
