Musicathon is Chapel FM’s unique music festival created to celebrate the huge diversity of music, culture and traditions that coexist in Leeds and around. All the live music acts, workshops and interviews get streamed live on youtube and on our own radio station, East Leeds Community Radio (you can listen to shows live on our website)

MUSICATHON 2025 SCHEDULE

6am – Mia Windsor (Experimental organ music)

6:45am – The Hapless Child (Experimental electronic music)

7:30am – Desmond Clarke (Contemporary music collective)

8:15am – Gloria Jeffries (English folk – vocals and guitar)

9am – Dina & Ruby (Chinese traditional music)

9:45am – Alex Rushfirth (Experimental music)

10:30am – Pickleball Ensemble (Chapel FM’s resident rock band)

11:15am – Nectarine (Vocals and guitar duo, led by Chapel FM’s own Agnes Leonowicz)

12noon – Vocologee (Choir singing pop, soul, motown and reggae & more)

12:45pm – Perisonic, Milana Sarukhanyan & Ben Finley (Experimental vocal and electronics)

1:30pm – Through Our Eyes (Original compositions by our resident ensemble)

2:15pm – The Project (A bass & trumpet jazz-inspired spotlight performance)

3pm – Mafwa Theatre (A community-based theatre group showcasing music and stories from, for and by local residents)

3:45pm – Leeds Piano (Showcasing local talent in collaboration with Leeds Piano Competition)

4:30pm – Music House Gospel Choir

5:15pm – Orb Community Arts (Presentation about inclusive music practices)

6pm – Fla-Fah-Tas (Contemporary Jazz quartet)

6:45pm – Deepa Shakthi + Nimrita Kaur (Indian classical music)

7:30pm – Grey Ravens & LS18 Rocks (Chapel FM’s youth ensemble and their Horsfirth counterpart)

8:15pm – Xolani Mbathe & Dave Evans (South African inspired music)

9pm – Mestisa (Latin American music quartet)

9:45pm – Chapel FM Jazz Collective (Chapel FM’s resident Big Band)

10:30pm – Mami Chula (Special dance party to end the Musicathon with a fancy dress theme of pajamas)
