In October 2014 the Chapel FM Arts Centre opened in the renovated Seacroft Methodist Chapel, bringing radio, music, writing, theatre, visual arts, and community projects to this great but often overlooked part of Leeds.

We invite you to join the celebrations of 10 years of Chapel FM Arts Centre during the month of October!

Wednesday 16th October – SOUTH ASIAN ARTS-UK: “TRAVEL LIGHT” at 7pm & CHAPEL FM JAZZ COLLECTIVE at 8:30pm – South Asian Arts-UK, a longtime collaborator with Chapel FM presents a celebration of John Smeaton, Leeds-born pioneer of civil engineering, and his contributions to globalisation in an event featuring live music, poetry, stories of science and travel, followed by a performance by our resident jazz ensemble CJC.

Friday 18th October at 7pm – TELL US A STORY – A night of storytelling featuring stories and storytellers from the recent Tell Us a Story course at Chapel alongside seasoned Leeds tale-tellers.

Wednesday 23rd October at 6pm – BLUE OWL PERFORMANCE LOFT – A special 10th anniversary edition of Chapel FM’s open mic showcasing music, spoken word, comedy, theatre and more from our local community and across the city.

Thursday 24th October from 7pm to 9pm – LIGHT NIGHT EAST LEEDS COMMUNITY RADIO POP-UP – Join us at Leeds Library in the city centre for radio vox pop story-gathering during this year’s Light Night Festival.

Friday 25th October from 8:30pm to 10pm – GHOST STORIES – We explore how the past can return in unexpected and sometimes haunting ways with an evening of story-telling at Leeds Library.

Saturday 26th October from 11am to 2pm – 10th ANNIVERSARY OPEN DAY – We open our doors to the world, inviting newcomers and old friends to explore all that Chapel FM has to offer.
