Ali Bullivent is an established singer/songwriter based in West Yorkshire. Her songs tell stories about characters in history, people she has met, alongside her own life journey and adventures.

In this workshop Ali will sing songs that tell a story from a recent commissions from Wakefield Council Museum of the Moon, and the National Coal Mining Museum England library and archive, and explain the process she went through to transform written narrative into structured song form.
Then taking stories and legends of poets and writers from Leeds, she will work together with participants to create a new song for the Festival.
