This will be the ninth year of the worldwide event celebrating the Uilleann pipes (the national pipes of Ireland.

In 2018 over 50 events took place worldwide as part of the Uilleann Piping Day and we are really pleased to host the Leeds contribution to the event organised by the Irish Arts Foundation. It is a great reason to gather pipers together and introduce local people to the instruments. The uilleann pipes are an UNESCO recognised instrument and are an iconic sound and emblem of Ireland.

The event will run from 1-3pm at Chapel FM and then over the Village Green to the Cricketers pub to continue…
