We are really pleased to be welcoming Music and Love to Chapel FM, with support on the night from Lulia Togara.

Music and Love Band performs high energy songs inspired by the townships of Zimbabwe. Bringing together musicians and singers from Zimbabwe, Mexico, Gambia and UK, they fuse traditional African instruments such as balafon, kora, sabar drums, djembes and duns with guitar and saxophone.

They create melodic, feel-good music and drum rhythms that capture the spirit of Africa and summons the audience to dance. Their aim is to spread love and acceptance, and to celebrate the rich diversity of the world through the joy of sharing music.

Music and Love are coordinated by Khula Arts and perform at a wide range of festivals and community events.

Lulia Togara is a writer-performer who writes plays and poetry. She currently writes and performs in pieces made for storytelling and literature festivals that have themes of social commentary and multiculturalism. She aims to write heart-felt and thought-provoking pieces through her art, be it through a 1 minute poem or a 30 minute long performance show.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking is very limited at the Centre but there are plenty of on-street options and good public transport links—http://www.chapelfm.co.uk/contact/

And how much does it cost?
We try to keep all our events at Chapel FM as cheap and accessible as possible. This is a Pay-what-you-can gig. We like to make as many as our events at Chapel FM truly affordable so we ask you to decide what you can afford to contribute £2, £5, £8... We won't take any money upfront but you can reserve yourself a ticket through eventbrite and then make your contribution on the door on the night. All moneys raised goes straight back into supporting our work at Chapel FM.

Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
You can always give Chapel FM a call on 0113 22 55 944
