Come to Chapel FM for a unique musical journey inspired by the traditional music of Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
From East to East are a Leeds band inspired by the traditional music of Eastern Europe and the Balkans, combining gypsy, Klezmer, Turkish and Balkan music to give a truly unique evening. Their repertoire includes both vocal and instrumental pieces, bringing together accordion, clarinet, violin, classical guitar, double bass and drums with live dance performances and featuring the beautiful voices of Kasia, Claudio and Michael who will take the audience on a mesmerising journey through the East.
The musical journey will visit more than a dozen European countries. Starting in Israel, through the Balkan mountains, to Central Europe and ending in Spain. You will have the opportunity to taste a variety of musical genres from Balkan Beat, through traditional Polish Mazurkas, Albanian, Macedonian, Serbian, Ukrainian, Klezmer, Turkish and Jewish music.
All that and more! Support on the night from Polish roots dance music band—Mazurka Heartbeat—ancient, wild melodies and primeval rhythms of mazurkas from the remotest corners of the Polish countryside, played in the traditional, “in crudo” way.
If you want to travel around Europe without leaving Leeds, don't miss this gig!
