The Cameron Collective return with a second night dedicated to the humble uke. This time with special guests Fuzzy Jones, Astraluna and the Ullaleles.

Fuzzy Jones
“Fuzzy’s voice is like something you heard in a dream, truly original.” Corinne Bailey Rae

Fuzzy Jones is an award winning singer-songwriter and ‘queen of Junk Shop Folk’ based in Leeds, UK. She conjures up vivid urban tales of the everyday. Her lyrics draw you in around melamine tables, of kitsch faded orange cafes.

Astraluna
Astraluna is the stage name of Jennifer Birch, a multi-instrumentalist with years of experience in writing and performing from her teen days in an indie band to touring worldwide with Corinne Bailey Rae 2009-2011.

Astraluna’s songs range from epic, ethereal soundscapes to stripped down emotions. Performing solo, her haunting and pure vocals compliment her warm ukulele sound: at times it is delicately harp-like and at others, part of a heavy looped backing with layered vocals, drum samples and synth pedals.

“You will hear the lilting sound of the ukulele like never before on this enchanting album… packed full of immaculate harmonies and intriguing effects.”

Ullalele
Purveyors of fine Steamplunk ukulele music since the last years of the nineteenth century.  Otley’s longest established Jeff Wayne/H.G. Wells ukulele tribute band.

Come along and enjoy. And feel free to bring along your own ukulele!
