How to spot misinformation and ‘fake news’

We’re firmly into the Digital Age, sometimes called the Information Age. But with so much data at the touch of a button, it’s hard to know what is fact, what is opinion and what is hype.

This session explores some examples of mis- (and dis-) information and it’s origins, from biased media sources, political parties to the shadier side of the web. We’ll look at how to unpack and understand the truth, and how that can be applied to making radio shows.
