“Chapel FM—it’s a place to try new things”  Rebekah, 14

We explore all aspects of radio broadcasting, podcasting, music-making, creative writing and operating technical equipment. We’ll teach skills on editing, recording, hosting and planning which feeds into our special fortnightly show youth show ‘Red Kite’. Particpants get to interview unique people in media, arts, sport and science. Our staff team of broadcasters, technicians, writers and musicians will work with the group to make new music, create poetry and theatre, talk about film and learn how to produce a radio show and podcasts.

Whether you want to try something new, focus on a specific area or meet new people and be part of the Chapel FM team, this group is for you! It’s a chance to be creative and shout about the things you like to celebrate…

Chapel FM Arts Centre is Pay-What-You-Can — our philosophy is that everyone should be able to access high quality arts provision, regardless of their financial status. Our projects receive partial funding from various sources. It costs on average £5 per person, per session to run. There is never an expectation for you to pay this, but if you can contribute, you can pay in the following ways: in cash or card at the beginning or end of sessions, weekly, half termly, or whenever you choose. We are looking to create a ‘donate’ button on the website for future ease. Any funds are gratefully received and go towards the core costs of running Chapel FM.
