This May Half Term, Chapel FM Arts Centre is offering a FREE 3-day taster course for young people from East Leeds. The sessions will be
‘in-person’ for young people to come together
to try out radio, music, writing and tech skills.

Course details

Chapel FM Arts Centre is excited to welcome young people back into the building after a year of being closed to the public! After a brand new renovation, we have three days of taster sessions for anyone aged 11-16 from East Leeds.

FREE youth taster sessions in Broadcasting, Music, Writing & Tech 

The sessions will be held at Chapel FM Arts Centre on                                                           June 1st, 2nd & 3rd between 10.30-4pm.

You’ll get a chance to learn new skills, meet other local young people and share your ideas. Learn how to work with radio equipment, create stories and songs and how we broadcast to the world!

Lunches and healthy refreshments will be provided over the 3 days.                      Please let us know of any dietary requirements when you register.

We have a limited number of spaces                                                                                   so register your interest ASAP or by Wednesday 26th May at the latest…

    Chapel FM Arts Centre is excited to welcome young people back into the building after a year of being closed to the public! After a brand new renovation, we have three days of taster sessions for anyone aged 11-16 from East Leeds.

    You’ll get to work with Chapel FM’s team to explore writing and music, whether that’s playing with lyrics, poems or stories or making noise and creating characters.

    You’ll have the opportunity to learn about experimenting with digital rhythms and loops, put words to sounds and sounds to words, and find out about making music shows for radio.

    Learn the basics of editing audio, video live streaming, how to prepare for and do an interview for radio, look at the tech behind a live radio show and how to help produce a live broadcast.
