Ever fancied having a go at making a radio show or podcast, but not sure where to start?

Chapel FM are looking for people aged 18+ from East Leeds to join a short course of introductory workshops. We’ll be meeting online over 4 weeks to cover the basics, share our interests and ideas, explore planning and presenting, and making our own feature for broadcast.

You can dip your toes and see if you want to take it further, so get in touch if you fancy giving it a try or if you would like to have a chat with a member of staff to get a better sense of the sessions and what to expect.

The sessions are free and open to anyone from East Leeds.

Our ‘Have A Go’ training sessions are particularly for people who are new to Chapel FM and haven’t got a lot of experience of making radio programmes. We are committed to helping you build confidence and new skills in a warm and friendly atmosphere, even if we are online.

Sessions dates and times will depend on your personal availability. We are looking to start the sessions in February, running through into March

Cost

The sessions are FREE and open to anyone from East Leeds.

Venue details

Sessions will be held online via ZOOM. Don’t worry if you haven’t used this before, we will help you get set up.

  • I tried out all aspects of broadcasting and I’ve ended up doing a bit of everything. I’m in the tech group, the broadcast group and I even help out serving coffee and cake to studio guests sometimes.
