Juwairia Junaid who recently was named Learner of the Year in the NCFE Aspiration Awards 2022. The NCFE (Northern Council for Further Education) is an educational charity and leader in vocational and technical learning.
Juwairia has been coming to Chapel FM Arts Centre for many years. She’s part of our the Next Generation group for 11-18 year-olds, and co-host of the Disabled Table.
Juwairia studies the Level 2 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care at Leeds City College. She says:
“I was born fully blind and it’s always been like that. I guess people find this really weird when I say it, but some of the stuff I do right now I don’t think I’d actually be doing if it wasn’t for me being blind.”
