Announcing Openings for Community Music Facilitators at Chapel FM Arts Centre

We are accepting applications for music educators to work alongside our broadcasting, creative writing and tech staff to deliver youth programmes this summer and autumn at the Chapel FM Arts Centre in East Leeds.

Ideal candidates will have experience working with young people ages 11-18 and a creative approach to combining music skills in areas such as songwriting & composing, electronic music, talking about music and social issues, practical music making and generally working in an interdisciplinary way to weave music into our radio, journalism and community storytelling activities.
If you think your experience and skills may be a good fit for Chapel FM’s youth work, please send a CV and short cover letter describing your past work and several brief ideas for one-off workshops you would like to deliver to:
This short-term freelance work may lead to more on-going employment and we are happy to discuss long-term goals and possibilities after receiving CVs and letters. Compensation for freelance workshop and other facilitation work is competitive. To get a better feel for our interdisciplinary broadcasting and arts work with young people from East Leeds, give a listen to our youth radio show and podcast Red Kite:
