As part of Chapel FM's Writing on Air festival we are very pleased that Jo Berry will be in conversation with Mike Winter on the second day of the four day festival. We are inviting people to come and be part of the studio audience for this special event in Chapel FM's beautiful radio theatre.

Jo’s father, Sir Anthony Berry, was killed in the Brighton bombing of 1984. She has spent the last 18 years in dialogue with Patrick Magee, the ex-IRA combatant who planted the bomb. They have appeared all over the world, sharing the same platform, talking about their extraordinary journey together.

Here she talks to Mike Winter about what made her approach the man responsible for her father’s death, about reconciliation and the charity she founded (Building Bridges for Peace) and takes questions from a live audience.

“I was 27 when my father was killed, and within two days of that it was important for me to find something positive out of it, to bring some meaning and to even understand those who killed him.”
Jo Berry

 FAQs

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking is very limited at the Centre but there are plenty of options and good public transport links—http://www.chapelfm.co.uk/contact/

And how much does it cost?
We try to keep all our events at Chapel FM as cheap and accessible as possible. This is a Pay-what-you-can gig. We like to make as many as our events at Chapel FM truly affordable so we ask you to decide what you can afford to contribute £2, £5, £8... We won't take any money upfront but you can reserve yourself a ticket through eventbrite and then make your contribution on the door on the night. All moneys raised goes towards supporting our creative work at Chapel FM.

Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
You can always give Chapel FM a call on 0113 22 55 944
