As part of the 2018 BEYOND Festival we are very happy to welcome Practically Theatre with their latest performance—Clowning Around.
Practically Theatre is a theatre company that works with performers with learning disabilities to create engaging, accessible theatre. The focus is always on performance and the work is devised by the group.
Their latest performance has been created in collaboration with Clown Space, based in York. They have a simple aim “Through Mask and Clown we hope to bring laughter and joy. Through play and discovery we hope to sustain it.”
So come along for some laughter and joy at Chapel FM Arts Centre on Wednesday 18th July at 2pm to see Clowning Around.

Practically Theatre was founded in 2014 by Anna Lewis, who completed an MA in Applied Theatre at York St. John University in 2017.
Practically Theatre performer Kyle says: “I like drama because I get to meet new people and interact with them. Also, I can express myself in different environments and situations. That is why Practically Theatre is the best for anyone, as it helps with self confidence”.
