We are very pleased that Chapel FM will be part of this year’s Yorkshire Silent Film Festival Musicians from the Festival will lead a fun, practical workshop performing live musical accompaniment to silent film.
We asked the Festival to explain how the workshop will work:
“Working with a selection of silent film scenes, we’ll create a score as a group and then perform it live. The workshop is suitable for musicians of all types and levels of experience. Whatever musical instrument you play, you can join in with these workshops – so bring along your violin or your recorder or your trumpet or your triangle! If you’re an experienced musician you’ll find plenty to enjoy at this session. If you’ve never improvised before, why not come and give it a try? We’ll create new music for some great silent film scenes.”
