“Chapel FM—it’s a place to try new things”  Rebekah, 14

Chapel FM is running a series of training courses for young people aged 11-16 from East Leeds this summer. It’s a great opportunity to get involved at Chapel FM. Have a look through the list below and get in touch if you would like to book a FREE place.

Sessions run the first 3 weeks of the summer holidays on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 10.30-4pm.

You can learn to –

  • Radio 
  • Plan and make live radio shows, run interviews, and be part of our incredibly collaborative LIVE Summer Broadcast; RED Kite: Sound It Out Summer 2021
  • Music 
  • Improvise, create, perform and record your own music
  • Creative Writing
  • Poems, stories, songs, jingles… the list goes on…
  • Tech
  • Run a radio desk, work lighting rigs, set up for a live performance, curate live video streams, record and edit, basically learn how to use the kit!
  • Outings
  • You will have the opportunity to perform and broadcast at local community events, visit other young peoples projects across the city, trips down the canal and more.


  • Lunches, fruit and refreshments provided throughout
